3D printer [3DUJ-553] employing the [UV curing inkjet method], which performs modeling with UV ink (C, M, Y, K, White, Clear) printing, curing and piling layer by layer. Coloring is not by post processing but modeling while using color inks, which can produce an object of exquisite full color representation.

[3DUJ-553] applies UV ink curing by irradiation of UV (Ultra Violet). The UV LED of curing source hardly exerts thermal influence to object and start time for lighting-up is not necessary. Long life and power saving can reduce the running cost.

The worlds first equipment (*1) with the ink circulation print head as the 3D inkjet printer. Stable ink firing by the equipment of [Ink Circulation Print Head] for circulating of ink to prevent the ink pigment sedimentation. And this ink circulation system can remove air bubbles causing the nozzle clogging to keep optimizing the best condition of ink jetting.

[NCU] as the worlds first equipment (*1) to [3DUJ-553] examines automatically the nozzle status by infrared sensor. When it detects a nozzle clogging, [NCU] performs the auto-clean to eliminate it. Many of the components of a computer are electric in nature, aligning computer hardware engineering closely with electrical engineering.

As such,computer hardware engineeringpositions generally require a bachelors degree in either electrical engineering or computer hardware engineering. One of the most lucrative IT careers, the median annual salary for computer hardware engineers in 2010 was $98,810, with the highest 10% earning $147, 890. However, competition is fierce in this field, due to the outsourcing of some of this business, and there is expected to be only a slight growth of 4% in open positions through 2018.

The inventors of new technology, computer scientists solve complex problems in conjunction with electrical and mechanical engineers. They conduct research on a wide range of technology topics, from hardware architecture to virtual reality. Due to the high-level research nature of this position, in order to become a computer scientist, you must have adoctorate in computer science.

Positions for computer scientists are one of the faster expanding information technology careers, with employment expected to increase by 24% through 2018. Computer scientists have an excellent salary potential, and in 2008, the median annual salary of computer scientists was $97,970, with the top 10% earning more than $151,250 each year.

10.) Computer and Information Systems Manager

Working with other IT professionals, such as software engineers, network administrators, and computer systems analysts, computer and information systems managers oversee the implementation and maintenance of the various computers systems and technologies within their organizations.

Since this is a supervisory role considered to be on the track to chief technology officer, most employers will require applicants to possess acomputer science masters degree, such as the MBA in information technology. These individuals are expected to be a jack-of-all-trades and have a wide-variety of technical expertise, and as a result, computer and information systems managers may begin their careers as software engineers or computer systems analysts. MADISON, Wis. The comeback of STMicroelectronics (Geneva) has beenwidely reportedin recent months. Testimony to the companys revival lies in an upbeat set of recent financials and product portfolios. STs first nine months revenue this year grew to $5,880 million from $5,113 million in the same period a year ago.

Ams (Premstaetten, Austria), a vendor of analog, mixed signal and sensor products, is also doing well. In fact, the company, although much smaller than ST in size, is closer to spectacular. In the first nine months this year, Ams revenue jumped by 42.5 percent to 593 million euros compared to the same period of 2016. Ams CEO insists this is not just a short-term spike. He is forecasting a compound annual revenue growth rate of more than 40 percent through 2019.

In iPhone X, Apple adopted leading-edge NIR imagers from STMicroelectronics, while deploying dot illuminators from Ams. Undoubtedly, both companies are profiting from these big design wins. More to the point, to frame the success of these two European companies as just a lucky break induced by the iPhone X factor would be an understatement.

Consider three big changes quietly brewing in Europe.

First, European microelectronics companies are finding their voice again. They have brought much-needed focus to their business with a big emphasis on such growth areas as sensing and automotive. Thats a big part of it.

Second, European chip vendors are applying a much finer level of analysis to strategy. Neither ST nor Ams is focusing broadly on the general sensor market. Each has identified 3D sensing as the biggest growth segment of the sensor market, for which they are boldly taking on the complex technology challenges.

Third, Europe has never given up its passion for technology development. Neither ST nor Ams has totally abandoned manufacturing. Their in-house manufacturing capabilities are paying off now.

Inhis recent report, Pierre Cambou, imaging activity leader at Yole Dveloppement, made the strongest case for ST.

Looking back, he said STs imaging division should have disappeared when Nokia lost its way [in the then newly emerging smartphone battle, and sold its handset business to Microsoft.] But it did not. He asked why.

Cambou credits the engineering teams resilience and creativity at ST. In his opinion, the craziness of investing in Single Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) technology became the first step in maintaining life support to [STs] endangered [imaging] business. He said, Passion for science and technology is not always logical, nor overly business-efficient, but it creates a positive environment for trying new things and going beyond traditional barriers, where no competitor even exists.

Cambou added, STMicroelectronics has shown that innovation is not just a game for startups; large companies can also make the right moves.

The story of Ams is much different. In a recent one-on-one interview with EE Times, Ams CEO Alexander Everke discussed his companys aggressive, but tightly targeted strategy, which has led to Ams successful entry into high-end segments of a certain sensor market such as light sensing.

Unlike valuation-driven M&A activities in recent years, particularly prevalent among Silicon Valley-based chip companies, Everke stressed, Ams is focused on acquiring technologies, not the revenue.

This is the advantage of long-term investment by companies that have a strategic vision beyond pure financial goals. Unfortunately this is less and less the case in Europe. Congratulations to the engineers and researchers behind this success (with a likely public support from the government, EU or CEA-LETI).

There is no room for sensors on he front of the smartphone or on the rear for that matter- ofc assuming the absurd that smartphone product design is competent and not trailing 5 years behind sanity. The front has to be 100% display, less is suboptimal. Foldable displays would duplicate the issue on the rear of the device.

So everything has to be hidden behind the display, the main cameras (and spectrometer or even 3D imaging) can pop up when in use but all else has to go through the (OLED) display stack, likely optical or ultrasound would be used. There are ultrasound proximity sensors, Qualcomm has under the display ultrasound fingerprint sensor, Synaptics is in production with under the display optical fingerprint sensor. Proximity, motion and ambient light sensors have to follow somewhat the same path, is there any other solution for 100% display? Facial recognition doesnt fit the habits of many humans that cover their faces on a regular basis and it cant be tucked under the OLED stack at any point soon. Aside from being unreliable, less than convenient and less than secure for now. 3D sensing for other purposes doesnt really fit the smartphone form factor (anything you can do with a smartphone can be done 10 times better with glasses) and again there wont be room for it on the front or rear. There will be sales driven by less than ideal product design, just like we see today with Apple, folks do make really dumb decisions at times but the right strategy is not this.

Cars, robots, glasses are real markets but sales in phones are mostly enabled by incompetence and fear -innovation is a risk.

Well, unless we are just indulging in mindless hype, the various goals assigned to 5G, to differentiate it from 4G, definitely require higher frequencies than 4G, if just to achieve…
